Deadly storms unleash tornadoes in U.S. east

A tornado tore through Greensboro, North Carolina, on Sunday night (April 15) ripping rooftops, and bringing down trees and power lines across the region.

Aerial images shot on Monday morning (April 16) revealed the extent of the damage across the area. At least one person died after falling trees landed on his car.

The tornado was generated by a powerful storm system that stretched from the Gulf Coast to the Midwest and were moving into the Northeast and New England.
