Protest erupts over Bangladesh president’s India visit

Protest erupted in India's northeastern Guwahati city over Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid's visit to the country.

Protesters accused the neigbouring country of giving shelter to China and Pakistan for carrying out anti-Indian activities. An effigy of Hamid was also burnt by the protesters who were later controlled by the police.

Hamid is on a five-day visit to India to attend the founding conference of International Solar Alliance (ISA) and Solar Summit being jointly hosted by India and France in New Delhi.
