White House Officials Suspends Top CNN Reporter Credential

Jim Acosta And President Trump Have Heated Exchange

White House officials announced they will be suspending the credentials of top CNN Reporter Jim Acosta.  This is in result to Trump’s disapproval of the questions Acosta asked during a news conference Wednesday afternoon regarding his views on immigration.

Acosta asked the president if he felt like he demonized immigrants by calling a caravan of Central American immigrants an “invasion”.

Trump’s response was “No, not at all. I want them to come into the country but they have to come in legally. You know, they have to come In Jim through a process. I want it to be a process. And I want people to come in and we need the people.”

Now in the footage, we see that a white house intern attempted to take the microphone away from Acosta, but he stood his ground and he continued to question the president.

Trump then said “CNN should be ashamed of its self for having Acosta working for them, and then called him a rude and terrible person. “

Shortly after Sara Huckabee took to Twitter to accuse Acosta of putting his hands on the young woman who tried to take the microphone away from him.

Her tweet read,

“President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his Administration,” “We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern. This conduct is absolutely unacceptable. It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter’s colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question.”

Acosta responded on Twitter to Huckabee’s Tweet by saying “This is a lie.”

Acosta shared with CNN’s Anderson Cooper that he was simply just trying to do his job, he then added that he did not put his hands on the young woman despite what the white house says.
