A Vietnam registered tank suffered from an extreme explosion on Tuesday in Hong Kong, killing one crew member and leaving two others missing at sea per a report from authorities.

It is reported around 11:30am the tank became inflamed as it planned to refuel at an anchorage near the city’s southern coast, said Yiu Men-Yeung, commander of the Hong Kong Fire Department marine and diving division.

The impact of the explosion made the 460-foot-long tanker to sit at a 30-degreee angle and caused 25 crew members to get thrown in the water said Wong Wai-hong, a Hong Kong Police deputy commander. It has been reported that the refueling barge was destroyed.
