Prince Phillip unhurt after car accident

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was involved in a scary accident on Thursday near the Sandringham estate in eastern England.

In a statement, the Buckingham Palace said “The Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle and was not injured.

The BBC reported that Prince Philip was behind the wheel of a Range Rover and that the vehicle landed on its side after a collision. It quoted a witness as saying the Duke was very shaken.

A palace spokeswoman later confirmed he was checked by a doctor afterward and did not go to the hospital.
