Madonna hits Tel Aviv ahead of Eurovision performance

Madonna on Thursday (May 16) took time out from rehearsals for her Eurovision Song Contest appearance to hit the Tel Aviv nightlife scene.

The singer was spotted arriving at the Hangar 11 nightclub venue near the city’s port after a concert by rapper Quavo. Hangar 11 has played host to Eurovision fringe events throughout the week of the song contest.

Quavo collaborated with the pop superstar on her latest single “Future” taken from new album “Madame X”. She is set to perform the song – along with her classic “Like A Prayer” – at the music competition’s final on Saturday (May 18).

“I’ll never stop playing music to suit someone’s political agenda nor will I stop speaking out against violations of human rights wherever in the world they may be,” the singer said in a statement to Reuters on Tuesday (May 14), addressing the controversy surrounding her decision to perform at the song contest in Israel.
