President Donald Trump said Monday he will be meeting both President Xi Jinping of China and Russian president Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Japan next month.
Talks between the president and Xi are expected to be about trade and the recent pressure being applied by the Trump administration increasing tariffs.
President Trump had said in an Oval Office meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban that the United States will be focusing providing relief to farmers from Chinese tariffs, which the country plans to impose on June 1st.
This relief is expected to cost $15 billion.
The tariffs that China plans to impose would include U.S. exports of frozen vegetables and liquefied natural gas.
