Trump misstates location of Ohio shooting rampage

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday (August 5) mistakenly offered condolences to people in Toledo, Ohio, following a mass shooting over the weekend in Dayton, Ohio.

A gunman in downtown Dayton killed nine people. Dozens also were wounded.

Trump, who has been accused of not doing enough to tackle extremist groups, also said he was directing the Department of Justice to investigate domestic terrorism, and propose legislation to ensure that those who commit hate crimes and mass murders face the death penalty.
