Climber without ropes scales 550 metre mountain face in record time

Using no ropes nor safety harnesses, Swiss alpinist Dani Arnold set a record time of 46 minutes, 30 second climbing Cima Grande - a 550-metre high mountain face, which is part of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the Italian Alps in September (2019).

Obliterating the previous record by just under 19 minutes, the 35-year-old now holds the free solo climbing record on four of the six major European northmountain faces.
