Look Up To Alia Bhatt And Kareena Kapoor Khan Says Ananya Panday

SOTY 2 debutante Ananya Pandey was interacting with media on the sidelines of MAMI Movie Mela in Mumbai. Talking about following someone from Bollywood, actress Ananya Panday said, “I wouldn’t say I am following anyone in the film industry, but I really look up to Alia Bhatt, because of the choices she has made. She does commercial cinema but she also does different kind of cinema at the same time, so I like her films a lot. And I like Kareena Kapoor Khan, as she is everyone’s favorite”
Talking about film industry needs to make in terms of storytelling or otherwise, Ananya said we need to make more “all age group roles” inclusive films.
She said, “First and foremost, equality for woman, which is the most important and for us, Indian stories works, as we have so many stories to tell, so we should be telling those stories. And I also feel that main stream films should have roles for every age bracket. For example, Neena Gupta’s role in Badhaai Ho, she was the central character in the film. I think all age group should have central roles”.
Ananya made her acting debut with Student of the Year 2, the diva is now shooting for her second film, Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar.
The film is a remake of the 1978 film Pati Patni Aur Woh directed by B.R. Chopra, the new version will see Kartik play the husband, a role which was earlier essayed by Sanjeev Kumar. Bhumi Pednekar will enact the wife’s character played by Vidya Sinha.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the remake also stars Ananya Pandey as the other woman, which was originally played by Ranjeeta.
