South Africa fans confident ahead of Rugby World Cup final

South Africans, dressed in green and gold, gathered at Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton City to show that they are “stronger together” in backing the Springboks for the Rugby World Cup 2019 final against England.

The crowd kicked off the gathering by singing the national anthem and were later entertained by the triple Grammy award winning Soweto Gospel Choir, alongside an acapella group that sung stadium tunes.

Coming from all walks of life, symbolizing Mandela’s Rainbow Nation, the crowd sang and danced to the entertainment under the famous Mandela statue as they wished the first black rugby captain, Siya Kolisi, and his team a victorious game.

“We know that you are going to bring the cup home. The confidence in the guys is so amazing. And what we know, we are here to show them love and support and we know they will bring it back,” said Wale Nieuwenhuis.

While Tari Coetzee added that she was proud of Kolisi.

“All the best! Bring it home,” Coetzee said.

The South African Springboks face England tomorrow in Tokyo, Japan in the Rugby World Cup final.
