SAN ANTONIO, TX – A patient has been quarantined for the coronavirus in San Antonio, TX increasing the number to fifteen cases within the United States.
The patient has been quarantined at the Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
Reports say that the patient just returned to the states on a State Department-chartered flight that landed over the past weekend.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed that the individual has been isolated from other patients and in stable conditions. They say the number of cases is expected to rise since hundreds of other people, including state employees and their families were also aboard the chartered flight from Wuhan.
Health officials say symptoms can vary from fevers, coughing, wheezing, and or pneumonia. This disease can spread from droplets of any affected person, similar to how the flu is contracted.
