Precinct 8 deputy-involved crash

PASADENA, TX – A Harris County Precinct 8 deputy was involved in a collision with a pickup truck early Thursday morning. The deputy was responding to another crash on the Sam Houston Ship Channel Bridge before he collided with another car near the east Beltway near Highway 225.

The accident took place around 4 a.m. 

The deputy reported that he was hit in the head following impact and was taken to Bayshore Medical Center to check out his injuries. His cruiser sustained extensive damage to the front end.

No further information was provided on the condition of the driver of the pickup truck.
